In this video we are going to cover the career decision making process, progressing through university, internships, the hiring process, and the start of my career. Being a financial advisor involves working directly with people, often older people, and telling them what to do with their money. So its generally though of as a job that you can’t do right out of college. And I agree someone should get at least a couple years of experience before actually working with clients. But you certainly don’t need to wait until you’re 30 years old which is what many financial advisors like to say. The first 2 years working in the industry are probably the most critical to becoming an effective financial advisor. But, this story starts when I was about 13.
