High school graduates in Clayton County, Georgia are taking part in a job training program called "Construction Ready" in partnership with non-profit Construction Ready. The program provides training and credentialing for careers in skilled trades and construction work, with an average starting salary of $16 per hour. The program has a 97% placement record for students finding jobs, and the construction industry is booming with thousands of jobs available. The program runs until June 26 at the Perry Career Academy in Jonesboro.
