Mor Acro’s quest into Moroccan cuisine furthers today with the help of a professional chef from Marrakech. Fish tagine is popular in the souss region of Morocco, but it always mystified Mor Acro. Agadir natives would smell this fish tajine and get excited. Ingredients include preserved lemons, green olives, ginger, tuneric, cumin, cilantro, tomato, green pepper, potato, and the almighty onion.
It was the perfect day in Aourir to visit Tarik fish and local shops for the necessary ingredients. It was a pleasure shopping and speaking darija and teshlahit with the locals in this Moroccan village of Aourir.
Amanda brought her passion for fresh food, nature, and Morocco to the beach for a memorable lesson in traditional Moroccan cooking. It was great to cook tajine over charcoal with fun energy. With enough time with Amanda, Mor Acro may even be able to rival bohemian kitchen!
