I Left My First Job as a Surgeon After 6 Months

I Left My First Job as a Surgeon After 6 Months

After 15 years of school, training, residency, and fellowship, I never imagined I would be in a season where I’d be stepping away from my first attending job so soon. But life doesn’t always go according to plan, and I wanted to share this part of the journey too, not just the wins.

In this video, I talk about the long road to becoming a surgeon, the reality of becoming an attending, career transitions in medicine, and why I’m focusing on content creation, mentorship, and education during this season of my life while I figure out my next step in medicine.

If you are a student, pre-med, medical student, resident, doctor, or anyone navigating career decisions, uncertainty, or transitions in life, I hope this video encourages you.

This is not the end of my journey in medicine. This is just a different chapter.
