It’s been 3 weeks since I arrived in Australia as a UK doctor, and I feel so grateful to be here. While my medical licence has been approved, my 482 visa is still delayed—so I haven’t been able to start work yet. In this update, I share what it’s like navigating unexpected visa delays, staying patient, and trusting in divine timing while settling into life on the Gold Coast. I also reflect on renting a car for adventures, temporary accommodation, and thinking about my career options moving forward.
