Getting a job in legal technology is very competitive because everyone ones a prestigious high paying job. You can get an internship in a big LawTech company. Or you can get an internship or job in a law firm and work in the technology law division. You can also work in technology law by working for a big law firm that has a technology company as its client. You can also get into LawTech or technology law by working as in-house legal counsel for a big tech company although that requires experience or you can be bold and try to get an internship directly at the big tech companies in the regulation and compliance department and avoid law firms altogether!
